Doppler-free saturation spectra of weak CO2 and O2 transitions

We present the Doppler-free saturated-absorption Lamb dip measurements of the CO2 30012-00001 (1570 nm) as well as O2 B band (690 nm) transitions. The spectra, measured at pressures ranging from about 0.3 to 20 Pa, were collected using three techniques: cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) [1], cavity mode-width spectroscopy (CMWS) [2], and cavity mode dispersion spectroscopy (CMDS) [3]. The spectrometers were linked to an optical frequency comb referenced to a hydrogen maser [4,5]. The retrieved line positions are characterized by uncertainties at the level of several kHz. The Doppler-free saturation spectra of magnetic dipole molecular transitions (O2 B band) were measured for the first time. The results are compared with the available data [6, 7].
